Vimana – (Ancient aircraft)

Vimana are ancient aircraft technology findings after research behind the subject According to many researchers and scientists, around 16000 BC man was using a complete new technology to fly. These technologies are completely alien to the present. about 200 Vedic texts which were translated into english by 1857 of which lies the vimanika shashtra (aeronautical engineering). David Hatcher childress in the book Technology of Gods, explains in detail about his research over how the vimanas function, how the vimanas are made, manuals for pilot, what pilot has to wear These vimanas are supposed to be made of alloys of Gold and variious other metals. which for present day would be a massivly expensive aircraft. i wanted to create a 3d graphical piece which would depict this vimana. Adapting to documentry style with a voice over. And the story board started. scence based Story boarding Scene based story boarding was done first to allow the freedom of shots to be chosen later with the models and characters created Research over advanced texturing and Render passes throughout how it was achienved Advanced texturing the drawings of vimanas which helped in creating modeling them. Photoshop Modeling in Maya Bump Specular Normals – nvidia plugin Detaiting adding edge dirt, adding realisticity Gold textures creating various texutres of Gold was a challenge Floral and animals designs depiction Gimp make seamless Technical Details Pilot design- model and texture creating the armour design Extensive use of maya fluids Maya fluids Motion blur of blade Issues faced Indian mythological costume reference from films human character creation After modeling rigging done to make the character to sit in the posture facial expression created with references of picutres of meditation and other references textures completely created and drawn in Photoshop colour normal bump specular 4 pics looped into in a image sequence with script Lens flare light glow and lens flare used to create a dramatic effect as an energy ball. Camera and vimana wiggle Depth of Field created in camera of the virtual scene itself the vimana was given a script driven animation to create the effect of more life like camera wiggle was also controlled during compsoting and corrected issuses faced Future Direction Shadows became more jittery and created noise during animation, this was corrected with more resolution and light linking geometry become wireframe in render when passing through fluid container, corrected by reducing fluid transparency and made not to overlap . to find the reason have asked in a forum of cgsociety.org Extend the video finish it by a scene of big environment with numerous vimanas hovering on A shot which shows a pan of numerous vimanas is under process. It is to be done with more environmental aspect. Possibility of taking the concept to make and extend into a series. Stength & Weakness breathing animation to recreate a realistic breathing sequence a self video of breathing was made and the movements were mimicked.
