Arjuna was eager to know about those men, against whom, he had to fight. On the wish of Arjuna, Shri Krishna drove the chariot between two armies and said – Have a Look, at these Kauravas. Here, Arjuna addressed Shri Krishna with the name – Achyuta. He is अच्युत because he is free from six disorders. In this episode Arjuna is addresses with four names – कपिध्वज, पाण्डव, गुडाकेश and पार्थ. While Arjuna helped God Agni in burning खाण्डवप्रस्थ forest, on the request of God Agni, God Varuna gifted him a celestial chariot having a flag with the image of an Ape over it. Therefore, Arjuna was addressed as कपिध्वज. Arjuna was also called Pandava, because he was the son of King Pandu. While Arjuna was learning military lessons, he also learnt to control his slumbers like a good warrior and he attained total control over his sleep. Therefore, Arjuna was also addressed as गुडाकेश. Kunti, the mother of Arjuna had her maiden name पृथा, so one name of Arjuna was Parth also. Why Sanjay called King Dritarashtra – BHARATA? Once upon a time, King Dushyant went in the jungle for Safari. Just then, the king saw a beautiful hermitage. Then came an extremely pretty girl. She was शकुंतला. At that time sage कण्व was out of Ashram. King दुष्यंत was so enamored by शकुंतला that he performed गन्धर्व विवाह with her. शकुन्तला was an innocent forest girl. She was trapped into the sweet and lovely words of the king. She totally surrendered herself before the king. King gifted a ring to शकुन्तला on his departure and promised to take her to his palace very soon. Time passed. Sage दुर्वासा visited the Ashram of sage कण्व. शकुन्तला, was lost in the thoughts of King दुष्यंत. She did not even noticed the arrival of sage दुर्वासा. अपना यथोचित सत्कार न होने से Sage दुर्वासा got angry and felt humiliated by such conduct. He cursed शकुंतला that “You have insulted and ignored me. For whom you are dreaming, he will forget you.” Companions of शकुंतला ran to the sage to pacify the situation. Sage Durvasa had cursed Shakuntala before they reached the sage. They narrated the whole episode before the sage and requested to revert the curse. Sage दुर्वासा also felt that the punishment to the girl is too harsh. So he said that the curse could not be reverted but if Shakuntala would show some thing of identification to his fiancé, he would recognize her. Days, months and years passed. But King दुष्यंत did not called up शकुन्तला to his palace. During this period शकुन्तला gave birth to a boy. That boy was growing day by day. Sage कण्व was deeply concerned for शकुन्तला. He sent शकुन्तला to King दुष्यंत, so that she could be queen and get her right. But king दुष्यंत refused to recognize her. She tried everything but king was not convinced. She decided to turn back after getting utter disappointment from the king. Just then a Celestial announcement was heard that शकुन्तला was saying truth. That boy was son of King Dushyant and Shakuntala. The king should bring up his son. As the king would bring up this boy, he would be famous with the name of BHARAT. King दुष्यंत agreed to the divine announcement and accepted शकुन्तला and his son Bharat with honor. In the linage of king Bharat after 15 generations king Dhritarashtra was born. Since, he took birth in the dynasty of Bharat, King Dhritarashtra was addressed as Bharat by Sanjay.
